IRAS Students received MUN Refugee Challenge Award!

We are proud to announce that Jagimun project, coordinated by our students, has been recognized by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. The award was presented during the online ceremony and received by IRAS representative - Emanoela Esteves Cabral.

Worldwide, over 80 million people have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, violence and persecution. Organizers of the challenge believe that young people have a central role to play in finding ways to help them thrive, not just survive. The resolutions that emerged from student projects were put before a jury composed of UNHCR members, young refugee leaders and independent experts.

More than 40,000 students in 80 countries have been taking part in the 2020 and 2021 editions of the challenge, therefore the work of our students deserve all the appreciation, and more! You can read more about their initiative at the Facebook fanpage of the project.
