Explorine Global Security Through Our Guest Lecture Series

We cordially invite our students to our second Guest Lecture series, scheduled for the 2023/2024 academic year. Join us for an insightful exploration of the topic, "Afghanistan after the War: Local, Regional, and Global Security Questions," led by the esteemed Dr. Scott N. Romaniuk.

This lecture series offers a comprehensive analysis of Afghanistan's contemporary security landscape, with a focus on local, regional, and global security issues. Delve into the complexities of the post-war era and its implications on the world stage.

This educational opportunity is exclusively open to all our IRAS and GLAD students. Moreover, it qualifies as one of your Outside Academic Activities (OAA). To earn recognition for the full 10 hours, attendance at all five meetings is required. Please sign the attendance lists, available in the classroom during each lecture.

Romaniuk, a Newton International Fellow at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, University of South Wales, United Kingdom, as well as a Visiting Fellow at the International Centre for Policing and Security, University of South Wales, United Kingdom, is a distinguished authority in this field. Dr. Romaniuk's extensive knowledge and research background make him the ideal guide for this exploration of Afghanistan's contemporary security landscape.
